These are the guidelines we follow when assessing a cards condition. Near Mint: Near Mint A card in Near Mint condition will show minimal to no wear from play or handling. Cards in this category will have little to no marks on the surface and clean edges. Cards in this category include no imperfections and those will very minimal imperfections Near Mint Foil: Near Mint Foil We use the same rules as a Near Mint card with the addition of the foiling must not have any scratches or visible damage marks. Lightly Played: Lightly Played A card in Light Play condition may have a few small blemishes on the surface of the card. There may be edge wear and a no edge whitening. Small imperfections are acceptable but not severe ones or an excessive amount of them. Lightly Played Foil: Lightly Played Foil We use the same rules as Lightly Played card with the addition of foil scratching. If the foil sheen is scratched lightly we would put that card in this category. If the scratching or cloudiness is heavy the card will be moved to the next condition down. Moderately Played: Moderately Played A card in Moderate Play condition may have border wear, edge whitening, and small creases that do not show in a sleeve. These defects should not affect more than 40% of the card surface area. Moderately Played Foil: Moderately Played Foil We use the same rules as a Moderately Played card with the addition of foil warping and light foil flaking. Heavy Played: Heavily Played A card in Heavy Play condition will show a sever amount of play on the surface of the card. Heavy edge whitening and/or medium creases or bends. These defects should not affect more than 60% of the card surface area. Heavily Played Foil: Heavily Played Foil We use the same rules as a Heavily Played card. Damaged: Damaged A card is considered Damaged if it is torn/ripped, bent to the extent that it shows in a sleeve, written on, water or liquid damaged, warped to the point of never being flat again, and excessive amounts of whitening. This included cards that may not have been directly written on but have the pen indentations from being underneath the thing that was being written on. (If the whitening or bending affects 60% or more of the card surface area that card will fall here in the damaged category) Damaged Foil: Damaged Foil We use the same rules as a Damaged card.
