It was released in September of 2002 and consisted of 104 cards total. Noteworthy cards from Magic Ruler include Giant Trunade, Painful Choice & Snatch Steal. This set is officially known as Spell Ruler, as the name was changed to avoid any confusion with Magic the Gathering. See also: Spell Ruler. Ritual Spell Cards, Ritual Monsters, Quick-Play Spell Cards, and Toon Monsters were first introduced in this set.
